Principal IC Design Engineer

Description:

Our client is one of the world’s leading developers of MEMS based solutions for portable consumer electronics. They are developing cutting edge motion sensors based on their patented Bulk Acoustic Wave (BAW) MEMS gyroscope technology. This new technology overcomes the major challenges for adoption into handheld consumer products & is a key enabling technology to produce differentiated/competitively positioned advanced motion sensor products in small form factors as well as at low costs. With over $5 million dollars in an initial round of funding followed by a second round of over $8 million dollars, the company is aggressively looking to hire the best Principal/Staff Analog/Mixed Signal IC designers to help them deliver the best MEMS based products for some of the world’s most renowned consumer electronic brands.

What you will be doing.

  • Candidates for this role will be a key individual contributor & will report directly to the Director of IC Design
  • Candidates will be involved in all aspects of the design cycle from concept through release to production & will participate in the product definition process with marketing as well as their existing customers.
  • Candidate will design/debug/document analog and mixed-signal circuits
  • Candidate will design review presentations

What you need to work here.

  • Candidates need to have a MSEE (or equivalent) degree or BSEE degree with 5+ years proven experience in Analog/Mixed Signal Integrated Circuit design (IC) taking products from concept to mass production.
  • Candidates will need to have knowledge of various circuits including OpAmps, bandgaps, amplifiers, low-noise amplifiers, CMOS logic design, low power techniques, oscillators, pulse/timing circuits, ADC's, & DAC's.
  • Candidates must have an understanding of CMOS & bipolar processes as well as experience with the latest design tools/suites (Cadence, MatLab & Analog Layout).
  • Candidates with direct experience in the development of MEMS sensor Integrated Circuits (IC’s) are considered ideal.
